Item numbers that were previously considered to be the territory of only those actresses who didn’t have good films and roles on their plate are now being offered to top actresses who in turn are all excited to shake up a storm. She made her first big screen appearance with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in her second film she worked under the prestigious Yash Raj banner and her third release saw her teaming up with Akshay Kumar, and yet Deepika Padukone doesn't consider herself a celebrity.

"I don't consider myself a celebrity. I believe that I've had a fantastic upbringing and I believe my parents have kept me really grounded and rooted. I hope that success never gets to me," said Deepika whose "Chandni Chowk To China" has just hit the screens.

"I've seen my father (badminton champion Prakash Padukone) handle success really well and I hope I continue in the same way because I believe that fame and money are secondary things. The main thing is to enjoy your work," she added.

The 23-year-old was applauded for her performances in her maiden venture "Om Shanti Om" followed by "Bachna Ae Haseeno".

She is currently working in Imtiaz Ali's "Production No. 1".

The 15th Nokia Star Screen Awards night has been in the news for all the wrong reasons and most of which has been witnessed by the TV audience. But there is also one Bollywood persona who will never forget the explosive 15th Nokia Star Screen Night apart from many others is Bipasha Basu.

Sources inform, "Bipasha was to do her Lucky Boy act from Bachna Ae Haseeno. But her act was supposed to be a pre-shot act. However, due to some delay it was decided to shoot post the presentation ceremony. But the infamous Sajid Khan-Ashutosh Gowariker spat delayed the awards ceremony by a good 20-25 minutes thus delaying the entire event nearly by an hour and a half. The stipulated time to shoot was already over, which left the organizers in a quandary as her act was a part of the content and the promo were already on air. Meanwhile, amidst all this, Bipasha was in no mood to do her act and had already changed her attire and removed her make up. Finally organizers managed to take the permission to shoot but until then Bipasha was very tired and showed her reluctance to get ready all over again and do her performance."

"But eventually she agreed. But her body language clearly displayed her disinterest in doing the act as it was in contrast with her on screen superb energetic performance which audience enjoyed in the movie," concluded the source.

Rising star Ranbir Kapoor may be smitten by actress Deepika Padukone's sensual beauty, but the list of crushes he had before he met the Om Shanti Om leading lady, goes a long way.

Ranbir reveals he had a huge crush on actress Madhuri Dixit when he was in his teens. On a TV chat show hosted by director-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar, Ranbir admitted to having secretly adored Madhuri when he was younger. He had even pasted posters of the actress in his room, the star of Bachna Ae Haseeno informs.

At that time, Ranbir says, he had never imagined he would one day see his father Rishi Kapoor romancing his pin-up queen Madhuri. Apparently, Ranbir had accompanied his father to the sets of Prem Granth, which starred Rishi and Madhuri. When he witnessed this scene, it left him speechless.
